My Philosophy

My teaching philosophy is rooted in my belief that students should always be curious about the world around them. My goal is for my students, and your children, to have a constant desire to learn more, and to never be satisfied with the bare minimum knowledge of a topic. It is my belief that in order for students to gain the most from school every day, they must be in a learning environment that is safe from ridicule and encourages active participation. If students are exposed to meaningful experiences and given opportunities to further explore concepts that interest them, then they will continue to have a desire to learn. I will strive to create learning experiences that promote curiosity throughout the year, and I hope you will help me out at home as well! Question your child, let him or her explain what he or she learned at school, and encourage your child to dig deeper into concepts learned at school, or any topic that interests him or her! With your help, I hope we can help instill a lifelong love of learning in each of your children, and help them to see that the learning process never ends!
